Shapes & Numbers! AGES 3+

How many sides does the shape have? Great activity to talk about shapes and numbers. This activity can help with recognizing, naming and describing the attributes of shapes and numbers. These are all important concepts to help understand spatial relationships.

Materials (affilate links):

First I made the shapes with popsicle sticks and a glue gun.

Next Kysen and I talked about the names of the shapes and numbers.

Then he counted how many sides and corners each shape has.

Then we were ready for the game!

He had to match the number to the shape with that number of sides.

We had so much great math conversation during this activity!
