If you are working with sets of 5 have your child make a stack of 5 unifix cubes. Then ask them what they see. How many red? How many blue? How many all together? Next have them color the same design they created on the 5 frame print out. For the next set challenge them to make another stack of 5 that looks different than the first stack of 5 they made.
If you are working with sets of 10 have your child make a stack of 10 unifix cubes. Then ask them what they see. How many red? How many blue? How many all together? Next have them color the same design they created on the 10 frame print out. For the next set challenge them to make another stack of 10 that looks different than the first stack of 10 they made.
