This is a fun outdoor science experiment! Kids will have a blast watching the bags fill with gas and pop right before their eyes! Baking soda experiments or activities are a great, safe and easy way to introduce the concept of a chemical reaction to children.
Materials (affiliate link):
Plastic Sandwich size bags
Clothespin
2 Tbsp of Baking soda (for each bag)
1/3 cup of Vinegar (for each bag)
Food Coloring

Gather all your supplies!
Then measure a 1/3 cup of vinegar and pour it into one of the plastic sandwich bags. Once you have poured the vinegar in the bag you can add a couple drops of food coloring to make it more interesting!
Next twist the bag and then pinch it with a clothespin.
Now you are ready for the baking soda. Measure 2 Tbsp of baking soda into the top half of the bag. Then zip it up.
Now comes the fun part! Hold the bag up and then take off the clothespin and watch the magic happen.
