She loves making gadgets and tries to make a machine for her great-great-great-aunt so she can fly. There are wonderful spirited and funny illustrations! A fun book for girls and boys, but girls especially will find a great role model in smart, industrious, determined Rosie.
Miss Spider’s Tea Party, by David Kirk, is a terrific rhyming story about a spider who just wants some friends. All the other insects are afraid of her and avoid her invitations for tea, until she helps out a moth and they realize she’s not at all what her reputation had implied.
Click Clack Moo Cows That Type, by Doreen Cronin is a funny story about cows who find a typewriter and start to write letters to their farmer with demands they feel will improve their life on the farm.
