Playing is fun and learning can be too!

Density of Liquid!

Kids will love this fun experiment!

Materials Needed:
Glass cup
Oil (I used vegetable oil)
Food Coloring

Here is a video of the boys doing the activity!

Posted by LEARN as you PLAY- Preschool Activities on Monday, May 7, 2018

Fill a cup 2/3 of the way with water.

Pour vegetable oil into your cup ( you want to create a layer that’s about 1 inch). What happens when you pour the water in?

Add drops of food coloring to the cup. What is happening to the food coloring?

Add pinches of salt. What is happening?

Eventually my boys wanted to pour the rest of the salt in!

It started making bubbles at the top.
