Dominoes and Shapes! Ages 3+

Fun way to talk about shapes, numbers and counting. Also good for strengthening fine motors!

Materials(affiliate links):
Shapes (I just draw on our tables with dry erase marker, you could also use tape)

Video of kids playing game!

First I drew the shapes on the table. Then the kids lined the dominoes up on the lines. This is great for strengthening fine motors. They have to place each dominos gently so they don’t knock the others over.

As they were lining up the dominoes I would ask them questions. What shape are you making? How many sides does the shape have? How many corners does the shape have?

We also talked about how many dominoes they used for each side.

When they filled up their shape they would knock them down!
