Dominos and Shapes! Ages 3+

Fun way to talk about shapes, numbers and counting. Also good for strengthening fine motors!

Materials(affiliate links):
Dominos
Shapes (I just draw on our tables with dry erase marker, you could also use tape)

First I drew the shapes on the table. Then the kids lined the dominos up on the lines. This is great for strengthening fine motors. They have to place each domino gently so they don’t knock the others over.

As they were lining up the dominos I would ask them questions. What shape are you making? How many sides does the shape have? How many corners does the shape have?

We also talked about how many dominos they used for each side.

When they filled up their shape they would knock them down!
