Playing is fun and learning can be too!

Can you find the letters in your name? AGES 3+

This activity is great for letter recognition.  The first thing kids are always interested in spelling is their names.  This is an easy activity were you can explore lots of letters.  When a child gets good with the letters in their name I like to pick out letters that aren’t in their name.  They will usually respond with I don’t need that letter and I say, “What letter is this?” This is a good way to incorporate letter recognition of letters that aren’t in their name.

Materials (aff link):
Print or write out the children’s names on paper.
