A story basket is a really nice way to encourage their imaginations, creativity, language and recall skills. Chances are you probably already have materials of your child’s favorite book in the toy box somewhere. Don’t worry too much about finding the exact same pieces; kids aren’t picky. Their imaginations will take them way beyond what’s in the basket. As long as you have a couple of the main features in the story, your kids will run with the rest.
Materials (aff links):

First gather all your materials for your story basket. Then read the story.
After you read the story use the materials to sequence the story together. Then let your child or children explore with the materials. I love hearing their versions of the story!
