Playing is fun and learning can be too!

Loose Parts & Play Snow! Ages 3+

Kysen has been in love with this sensory bin. The snow actually feels cold! First we made some play snow!  All you need is 2 ingredients, 2 1/2 cups of baking soda & 1/2 cup of hair conditioner! Then we added some holiday loose parts. He has come up with so many fun play scenarios!

Materials:
2 1/2 Cups Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Hair Conditioner
Large pan or large container
Candy Canes
Holiday Loose Parts

Kysen wanted a lot of snow so we made 3 times the recipe. First we measured out 1 1/2 cups of hair conditioner and 7 1/2 cups of baking soda. Then we mixed it together until it felt like a snow texture. You can add more hair conditioner to make your snow more wet or more baking soda to make the snow less wet.

Next we added the Holiday loose parts. Then Kysen was ready to play. It was so fun to listen to him as he played.  The Grinch was chasing Santa.  Then their was a snow storm.  After the snow storm the snowman came to save the city.

He was so excited that he could make a snowman with the snow!
