Playing is fun and learning can be too!

Toy Sale! Ages 5+

Jalen has been working on counting with coins for his home learning.  He loved this game.  He wrote price tags for his toys.  Then he had to count out coins to pay for each toy.

Materials:
Toys (we used 7 any number would work)
Coins
paper
marker

First have your child collect toys.  Then they need a marker and some paper.  Jalen wrote the price tags.  He has been working on writing out cost of things in math.  We talked about which he thought would be the cheapest toy and which would be the most expensive toy.

Then grab a bunch of coins! Have your child count out coins to pay for each toy. For a challenge ask them to think of another coin combination for each toy.
