Playing is fun and learning can be too!

Melting Beads! Ages 4+

Did anyone do these when they were little?  I use to love them!  What a great art activity that includes strengthening fine motors.  My boys have been really into making all different designs.  When they are done placing the beads on the pegboards  we iron the beads together.  Then they like to play with their new creations.

Materials:
Melting Beads Set
Iron
Parchment paper or ironing paper

First have your child pick a pegboard.  Then they can start filling in the beads.

When they are done filling in the beads you can heat up an iron. Place the ironing paper on top of the beads.  Hold iron on top for 10-20 seconds.  You will see the beads start to melt together.  Let the beads cool.  Then you can pull off the paper and they can play with their art.
