Playing is fun and learning can be too!

Grid Painting! Ages 3+

The boys really enjoyed this art activity!  I challenged them to come up with a different color for each square only using red, yellow, blue, black and white.  At first they thought it was impossible, but once they started mixing they couldn’t believe how many colors they came up with.   They were even naming their new colors as they mixed them! The grid rack is from an art drying rack.

I loved watching the excitement on the boys faces as they came up with new colors.  They were so excited that they started naming their colors!  I gave them each a cup of water and a paper towel.  When they wanted to mix a new color they would wash their brush in the water and then dry it with the paper towel.

They were very proud of their final product!  Definitely going to frame this for our playroom!
