Color Matching Tops! Ages 3+

This activity is great for fine motor and spatial reasoning skills.  Strong spatial reasoning skills in preschool help support math learning in elementary school. Great way to talk about colors and positions of colors in relation to each other.

Materials (affiliate links):
Piece of cardboard
16 bottle tops
Dot Labels
Hot Glue Gun
Hot Glue Sticks
Color Matching Tops Printable (4 color combination cards and 4 blank combination cards)

First cut the tops off of the bottles and hot glue them to a piece of cardboard.  

Next put the Dot Labels on the bottle tops.  You will need at least 4 of each color (red, blue, green, orange, yellow). Then print out the cards and you are ready to go.

The first time Kysen decided to match the colors one row at a time. 

            

The second time he decided to do one color at a time.
