Color Match Box! Ages 2+

This was so easy to make!  Kysen enjoyed matching all the colors.  The thing he was most excited about was lifting up the lid to the box once he got all the sticks in!  This activity is great for working on colors, fine motors, sorting and critical thinking.

Materials
Shoe Box
Colored Popsicle Sticks
Colored Masking Tape
Box Cutter

Check out the video below of Kysen Doing the activity!

First take the masking tape and make your lines across the box with each color tape.  Then grab a box cutter and make slits the size of the popsicle sticks.  By cutting the slits on different angles it causes the kids to use their critical thinking skills to get the popsicle to fit in the slit.  Then grab your popsicle sticks and you are ready to play.

Kysen decided to do one color row at a time.

When he was all finished he was excited to take the top off the box and look inside!
