1. Paper Airplane Target

This activity was a huge hit with the boys!!! They have been playing with it for days!  Kysen has been interested in counting by 10s, so we made the points in increments of 10.  They started off trying to get to 100.  Then they decided to see who can get to 1000.  This was so simple to make! 3. Balancing Ball

This was a challenge for the boys.  They had to work together carrying the ball with the sticks to the end of the course.  If the ball dropped they had to go back to the start.  They were working on teamwork, communication, balance, coordination and gross motor skills.  This was a fun way for them to practice accomplishing a goal together.  They didn’t get it right away but when they did accomplish the goal they were so excited and proud! For the full details click here!

5.Balancing Plate

The boys have loved making up obstacle courses!  For this one they had to work together holding a plate in between them as they walked together to the finish.  If one of them fell off the track they had to go back to the start.  They were working on teamwork, communication, balance, coordination and gross motor skills.  It took them many tries but once they accomplished the goal it was so fun to watch them celebrate together! For the full details click here!

6.Ball in Cup

The boys had fun with this team work activity!  They had to work together to get the ball in the cup.  We talked about different angles.  Depending on where you want the ball to go, you had to position the toilet paper roll before you blew the air.  The boys learned really fast that this wasn’t a game of speed.  They had to slow down and work together.  Full details for this game here!

7. Ball Roll

The boys played with these materials for almost an hour!  They did a great job taking turns being the person who got to roll the balls. They started with one ball. Then they wanted more of a challenge.  They got all the way up to 5 balls at a time. This was a great game for teamwork, counting, colors, gross motors, problem solving and critical thinking! Check out the full details here!

8.Ball Drop

This game is great for hand eye cordination. The boys really had fun with this one. They started off just trying to get the balls in the hole. Then they tried it with two plates. Then they wanted to get it in the hole and bounce it into the bucket. I loved how they kept coming up with new challenges on their own! Full details for this game here!

9. Stairs Car Ramp

The boys decided they wanted to build a car ramp on the stairs.  They used cardboard boxes and painters tape.  They even made an audience like in the movie Cars.  They had so much fun racing the cars down the ramp.  As they raced they were working on ordinal numbers!  Ordinal numbers are numbers we use to talk about positions, places in a race or a line.  They help talk about the order of things.  Of course they were most excited when one of their cars got first place!
